I am using VS2015 Pro. It seems OpenCppCoverage visual studio extension tool always outputs to binary file even if I choose "Html" for export type under the Import/Export tab. Also, if I choose an output path for Html, the "Run Coverage" button simply grays out (unable to click).

Did the selected directory was empty? The "Run Coverage" button is disabled when the directory is not empty.
You should have a tooltip on "Run Coverage" button with an explicit message.

In the next release, you should be able to export to an existing directory.

Please let me know if it help,

I didn't see the tooltip on "Run Coverage" button. Anyway, I tried selecting an empty directory and the tool works now. Thanks.

With OpenCppCoverage Plugin 0.9.4, you can select an existing file or folder and the "Run Coverage" button is never grays out.
